I bought this printer for the sole purpose of printing honestly on dvds (i shoot short films following this am constantly needing to print on dvds to submit for film festivals). searching the internet i couldn’t find a solid recommendation for a printer — so, for the relatively insignificant bit of money, i tried this one. following this it works great for this purpose.
Also, a actual considerable thing for apple computer owners: the epson artisan 50 ink jet printer hit came with a specific install cd for anybody using the snow leopard os. I had tried to find this software online (for a friend whose epson r 280 printer had stopped working/printing his dvds) to no avail. But this comes inside the packing along with the printer. This is invaluable.
From unpacking to test printing a dvd was about 10 minutes.
