We bought the one rarely gem to trick to europe. First impressions are mere favorable. It’s small, reliable, then prints beautifully. At recently overhead four pounds, it’s perfect on behalf of travel.
The rarely bluetooth adaptor also works mere well. Reading the manual (!), i discovered it is possible to mount the adapter permanently inside the printer therefore that it’s no, non- exposed then doesn’t need attachment all time it is used. This is a simple procedure, then enhances the usefulness of the bluetooth capability that is all but de rigueur though traveling. The installation / setup information is also within the electronic manual that comes on the cd.
But as good as the printer is, it does no, non- come with (nor does canon offer) a case of any kind. I found the perfect solution – from case-mate: go to http://www.case-mate.com/laptop/macbookpro15/15gblackcases2 then buy the ‘glovez 15″‘ sleeve (like a large envelope with a velcro closure / flap). It comes within an assortment of colors then is a skin-tight (but mere workable) fit within the ‘length’ direction. When inserted, the Canon PIXMA iP100 Photo Printer doesn’t trick up all bit of the case within the ‘width’ direction, meaning there is recently enough room to also accommodate the cord then ac brick. Throw these in, close the flap, then you’re always ready to roll.
Best part: the one ‘glovez’ sleeve is single $9.99 $3.99 s/h, then gets to you within a few days. It’s no, non- bulky – recently what one wants to protect the printer but no, non- trick up room. (as an aside, the case-mate glovez 13″ [for the macbook 13" then air] fits the lenovo thinkpad x300 perfectly).
