I’ll exist honest… I was skeptical… We’ve lived in our domiciliate for 30 years and receive always received a dehumidifier. Nigh 5 years ago our old “workhorse” Whirlpool dehumidifier gave out. I’d been thus felicitous with it, I bought another one. Big MISTAKE. We turned it on and it sounded alike we had a freight train in the basement. I tried taking it back to Lowe’s merely no luck. “They are only loud”. So we laid up with it for 3 years. Lastly year my wife enounced “enough”. So I searched the web and found the Soleus unit. Who always learnt of Soleus? Not me, simply I kept coming back to the reviews. Eventually I figured I’d wasted more money than this over the years thence if it didn’t work equally advertised, I’d just commencement over again. Big Suprise. The finally 6 months receive4 been a dream. I’d been running it a month when my wife required “when are you going to act it on?” She could not think that it had been coursing wholly that time and she didn’t know it. It but keeps chugging along. The plastic door doesn’t bother me at all. I ordered in from Quality Counts amd could not get been happier with their service. Nifty unit and it is everything the reviews said it would be.I bought the 25 pint exemplar and Soleus Air CFM-40 E conceive that it is the way to conk (rather than the 40 pint). The 40 pint won’t do a ameliorate occupation of pulling the moisture, it but will have longer ahead you experience to empty it out. Consider me, a total 25 pint tank is tough enough to carry to dump out… I believe the 40 pt would exist actually difficult to handle! During the actually humid months (about 10 out of the 12 here in Houston!) I empty it each morning and evening… it’s commonly only almost 1/2 entire (which makes it easier to empty) only normally it can dead for 24 hours without needing to exist emptied.
