I disagree with the previous 2 review scores. I likewise live in NYC, the basement studio apt of a brownstone. When I first impressed in 2 years ago, the owners allow me continue the dehumidifier that they held down here because they admitted that it get’s humid with the miss of air circulation. My 3 horizontal slider windows are adjacent and small (3′x2′), and they are whole locating on the same wall at the front of the studio. So, the tune is terrible. There is also no radiators for heating. It’s hot in the summer, cold in the winter, and humid ever (but it is very spacious & has a huge walk in closet & a freestanding ventilated laundry room… with the cost it’s worth it 
) I ordered this unit because it was the exclusively dual hose ac/dehumidifier/heater that was ideal for me (the Whynter models’ hoses were besides big for my window character and you had to withdraw the 2nd hose in dehumid mode, and the Sunpentown models were besides pricey for the BTU’s). I didn’t eventide know this model was sold by Amazon, I found away nearly doing a bing search, Soleus didn’t even get this model on the website, which went me back to Amazon. It received everthing I wanted at the decent price, simply the reviews stalled my impulses. Subsequently farther inquiry I found that SoleusAir doesn’t even have this exact model on the website for some funny reason, but it has the models below it, the PH4-12R-01 & PH4-10R-01. Altogether the PH4 models are dual hose. I binged the model number, and whole the other online stores that sold it advertised as dual hose. It isn’t advertised on Amazon as such, and the 1st reviewer, iSkyscraper, who didn’t eventide purchase the device doesn’t supporter either. However, iSkyscraper is 100% right about portable units. His insightful info helped me to meliorate Soleus Air PH4-13R-01 understand why I should by this unit… do not purchase one without a dual hose. If you are looking for a dual hose ac/dehumidifier/heater with cracking BTUs… this is the best you are travelling to get on Amazon.
