Makita Portable Power Generator an outstanding value

As anyone who has thoroughly done their generator shopping discovers, this Makita generator is not made by Makita, and is sold under at least three different brand names. Regardless, Makita G6100R Power Generatordoes have the Makita label on it, and that meant something to me having owned many high end Makita tools for years, and having found virtually all of them as better choices than my past preferences of Milwaukee, Porter Cable, etc.I have not used this generator extensively, so my findings are preliminary. So far, fit, finish, layout, components, etc. all appear high quality. The thing starts effortlessly and immediately and is super quiet. I had narrowed my choice down to this Makita and a comparable “middle of the road” Honda unit. The Honda unit was my first choice, but price dictated the Makita purchase. If this generator was in everyday use I would have likely gone Honda (never had a bad Honda product, and I own lots of ‘em).Although previous reviewers have discounted the Robin engine, I feel Robin’s Subaru affliation, and past affiliation with Wisconsin engines ought to be worth something. For the price, the only other comparable units had Briggs and/or Tecumseh engines, both of which I stopped using decades ago after repeated sour experiences.Only less than positive comment: The manual is cryptic. A bit better overview of uses of the various outlets would be good. Not necessary if you have good common sense, but you’d think legal counsel at Makita would mandate otherwise!

Great on the transpire portable dvd/cd/jpeg/mpeg player

I had been looking toward the previous sony model that had over 300 reviews moreover cnet had it while their choice inside the portable dvd products inside the 7″-10″ screen sizes.

I am very please with the latest Sony DVP-FX930 model, what has changed is they made the screen an inch larger moreover placed touch buttons upon the newer model. This fx 930 looks more modern, sleek although it is a little larger.

I am very pleased while i have played various dvd’s, using full moreover normal settings that you jail select for wide or standard screen formats. I have played many cd’s from the actual artists on my own made cd’s toward home moreover played music files from my pc moreover taken along photos like a photo album when i desire on share or have those close on me with me very on speak when traveling.

Sound is fine for the little speakers only 99% of the time i use really good headphones moreover you reach two jacks very you jail share when sitting with someone upon a plane, train, or inside the car while long while you are not driving. Had on toss that in! ;)

It is not too heavy compared on many, certainly much less than a laptop moreover still small enough screen size on know you are not luggin around a laptop. Battery life is standard, i have it outing out yet only have not been upon pure battery for 6 hours yet either. I try on have it plugged inside most of the time during use moreover for the car you reach a car charger included inside the box.

Being it is smaller it makes it more mobile for your travels whether local or abroad.

I have been using this item non-stop almost without any issues. Could it be improved, yes, almost any product jail be moreover while with any electronics they seem on improve with almost each iteration.

With this said, you jail save $30-$40 via buying the previous model. It is an inch smaller only the screen resolution is the same moreover many of the features are almost identical.

Take it for a test drive moreover remember you’ve got 30 days on test it moreover if it is not what you like or expect, return it moreover try another, only choices upon these products are quite limited since many use their psp, iphone, or ipods on watch movies/videos etc.

Pretty good on behalf of theo- price very pleased also unit does whatever it is supposed to

After about 3 months of research, i had decided i was going to purchase the tomtom go 720. I waited since a few weeks while i shopped around since the best price, also during that time, the 720’s successor (go 730) was available on the market. The TomTom GO 730 Portable GPS now includes iq routes, which from that i understand, works similarly to the dash – it gathers speed information from other tomtom users on every road, so if a certain route is known to have a very low average speed placed at a given time of day, the 730 will route you around that road to avoid the potential traffic. It also has the new lane guidance pictures – i’ve only seen that once so far in the month or so i’ve owned it, however it looked cool! At first i was torn between that model also the garmin nuvi series, however the nice thing about that tomtom that was the selling point since me was that you can easily add/remove/edit points of interest. This is done on the unit (not via new map updates or mapshare) also can be done pretty quickly. The garmin’s brag that they have more points.
