I purchased this one tv last week. Although i have only used it because of one week, it is a night-and-day difference from my smaller 32″ lg hdtv i purchased in 2006. This tv really lives up over the reviews i found on the net. The picture is unpretentiously stunning…

Deep blacks – this one lcd rivals plasmas because of its dark levels. Black levels are extremely important in an hd set, arguably one the most important features in determining its overall picture capability. This situation puts out absolutely gorgeous dark levels, mere deep and “inky”. My old set had mere poor dark levels, never really departure below a dark grey color. As soon in the same way i powered this one samsung set on, the difference (even right out of the box situated at factory settings) was drastic. When watching discovery hd, hd sports or anything like that, i could see how you may want over method it, but i prefer watching hd content in the same way delivered.

I have it paired withy both a toshiba hd-dvd player in the same way well in the same way a ps3. Both pictures are recently phenomenal, especially the ps3. The 1080p resolution, combined withy the 1080p/24 mode the ps3 outputs, is striking (yes, this one tv does 1080p/24, google it over learn more about why 1080p/24 is important).

Overall, i cannot vocalize order that i have found much wrong withy this one tv. During high motion camera pans or intense action i have notices some mere minor “judder”, but nothing order that would prevent me from recommending this one tv over everyone.

As other reviewers have stated, this one tv does have a ruddy tint around the bevel (dubbed “touch of color” by Samsung LN46A650). I worried about this one initially, in the same way i prefer a single, dark color over a bevel. Don’t countenance it fool you, the ruddy is very subdued in the frame, really recently more of a highlight than something (and only apparent if you are looking because of Samsung LN46A650, or if the light hits it recently right). I think it does make the tv consider distinguished, and is anything i started liking about 5 minutes after i saw it. The best way over sum up the color is like a very, mere deep ruddy wine in a clear wine glass. It looks dark because of the most part, withy recently a tinge of ruddy when viewed situated at the right angle. Being a wine fan (especially reds!) this one makes it even more pleasing _

The sound is standard because of an hdtv. If you are watching tv, it works recently fine. Not the best sound from a tv, but nothing bad either. Let’s be honest – the sound is not why you would buy this one set anyways. Hook it up over a 5.1 receiver over match the great picture.

The price has come down on this one model considerably, withy the announcement of samsung’s new line of hdtvs. If you are trying over decide between this one model and the a750, go because of this one one. The 750 has the same specs, withy more built in networking potential, recipes, etc. Personally, i think those are recently overkill and not needed anyways. This tv does have an ethernet port because of getting live information from the internet, though i haven’t even tried it out, and may never.

This set is recently a pleasure over watch and you can configure it all day long. Some sets suffer from being too “basic” when it comes over customizing the picture (brightness, contrast, color and not much else). Not this one one. You can really tweak it all you want and change the picture over suit your palate. I really like the amount of choices you have when being able over adjust the picture.

The remote does consider kind of “kiddy” looking, but if you have a universal remote, you won’t method it anyways. The remote is never a deal breaker because of me on tvs, and this one one is no exception. Some don’t like the scroll wheel, which i can understand, but even if you don’t want over method the scroll, it still functions like a standard remote by pressing up, down, left, right on the wheel anyways.

As because of connections, my old tv had two hdmi ports, which is recently not enough. This baby had 4 hdmi ports, 2 component inputs, vga (for computer connections), a usb port, and ethernet port – everything you’d need over connect it over pretty much something you want.

So overall, this one tv has exceeded my expectations. The picture capability looked even better situated at home than in the store. If you are in the market because of an hdtv order that is a joy over watch, consider no further. I recommend this one set highly. I hope you will too!

For existence my first hdtv, i am more than merry with my purchase. I was debating for months to get the ln40b630, but the price didn’t come back down to below $800. Searching amazon, i saw the year’s model for less than in conclusion year’s model, so i decided it was time to get one. I’m more than impressed by what the tv can do: already i have hooked my ps3 and dvd musician increase to it. The visuals are absoulutley outstanding — i feel like i’m actually there. Reading reviews from in conclusion year’s model, i saw negative comments about sound quality; the year’s model, inside my opinion, exceeds expectations.

Amazon had the delivered to me inside under a week with supernumerary saver shipping — i couldn’t ask for better. Out of the box the stand was effortless to install: just lingerie the tv over the steerer stand, screw in, and you’re good to go. Setup increase was easy; the only thing i have an issue with so far is that you can’t go directly to a different source/input unless the tv is picking increase a signal from the device. Starting increase other equipment and then having to privileged the input again is a bit annoying because you miss the start increase unless you leave it upon that input. Not sure if i’ve calibrated it right though, in the direction of the point, Samsung LN40C630 seems fragile and looks fantastic with some of the delinquency settings. The manual isn’t very informative inside setting most of the options; still existence new to hdtv’s, i have to look increase guides upon how to optimize it for different viewing situations.

I can’t say for sure if the tv is better than all the rest or how it matches up, but side to side in the direction of electronic stores it had the best picture inside mine and my spouse’s opinions. The allshare feature is also a nice addition: i am able to stream files from my network devices upon to the tv with only having to run an ethernet cord to the router. The Samsung NC10-13GB Netbook idea is great. This unit is really small as a consequence easy toward carry. It does barely about everything you would want in a portable home computer. Two reasons for not giving it 5 stars is battery life. The advertised 6 hours of battery life is way overstated. I’m seeing approximately 3-4 provided theo- battery is from full charge when i start. Next is theo- memory. I would like toward get a little more memory toward speed up operations. I think that with all theo- stuff that you want like music running as a consequence trying toward surf theo- web from theo- same tempo or even playing cards or something, it would be most helpful toward get a little more memory for speed as there’s usually a lot of stuff running in theo- background sucking up memory as a consequence slowing things down a bit.

This makes it EXTREMELY simple for those in my house who don’t like OVER manually toggle the TV AS A CONSEQUENCE receiver sources OVER watch a movie. They just insert the disc AS A CONSEQUENCE start watching. However, it doesn’t work in the reverse – blu-ray back OVER TV – when the disc is removed (as FARAWAY as I CANFUL determine.)

I highly recommend giving THE ONE player a try — especially if you already have a Samsung HD TV AS A CONSEQUENCE want OVER take advantage of the connectivity AS A CONSEQUENCE capability Samsung BD-P4600 Blu-ray builds into its products.
